BIOGRAPHY

Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Daniel Boccato is a multi-disciplinary artist who currently lives and works in-between New York City and Boston. He has recently joined fig + kindle, a Boston confiserie and provision shop as their in-house graphic designer. Daniel is a member of the New York-based collective, Tim Rollins and K.O.S., a group that has been exhibiting worldwide for more than 25 years. In 2008, Daniel founded the ARENA gallery, a collaborative art project showcasing the work of young artists.

Daniel's experience in animation began with Filme de Papel, a top animation studio in São Paulo, where he had the privilege of working with Alê Abreu on the feature length "Garoto Cósmico." Daniel then went on to produce “O Dia da Caça” (“Hunted”), a short animated film, which was shown at Anima Mundi 2005, the largest animation festival in Latin America. “O Dia da Caça” has since received awards in the VisionFest animation festival in 2007 (Indianapolis, IN).

Combining his dual passions of design and music, Daniel frequently collatborates with musicians resulting in multiple album covers and websites. Clients include artists from the USA, Canada, and Europe. His latest works can be seen on the albums of Nando Michelin, Tony Malaby, Earl MacDonald and Kaja Draksler. Coming from a family of musicians, he also loves to play music and jam around with anybody who is willing to go down the journey!
