Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Daniel Boccato is an artist who currently studies Fine Arts at the Cooper Union School of Art in NewYork City. In 2008 Daniel joined the collective workshop, Tim Rollins and K.O.S., a group that has been exhibiting worldwide for more than 25 years in museums and galleries. Also in 2008, Daniel created ARENA gallery, a collaborative art project, and curated 6 shows involving over 20 artists.

Daniel has also been involved in animation for a number of years. Beginning as an intern at Filme de Papel, a top animation studio in São Paulo, he had the privilege of working with Alê Abreu on the feature length "Garoto Cósmico." Daniel then went on to produce “O Dia da Caça” (“Hunted”), a short animated film, which was shown in Anima Mundi 2005, the largest animation festival in Latin America. “O Dia da Caça” has since received awards in the VisionFest animation festival in 2007 (Indianapolis, IN).

Currently, outside of his studies, Daniel has been lending his skills to CD cover and website design for various artists from the USA, Canada, and Europe. His latest works can be seen in the albums of Tony Malaby, Earl MacDonald and Kaja Draksler.
